Frequently asked questions
1.
Why Do I Need A Personal Trainer?
Personal trainers can improve your
health and well being including your fitness; motivation; body
toning; weight gain; weight loss or to treat a sports injury
Some people are happy to follow their own programme in their own
time and place; for those who lack the time, or the motivation, or
the energy to train effectively on their own, a Personal Trainer can
be the answer. The support, advice and encouragement comes with safe
exercise technique to help you avoid injuries.
2. What Price Should I Pay?
Personal trainers range from £15 -
£50+ per session (normally 1 hour) largely dependent upon their
experience etc. Some require you to block book sessions in order to
meet specific goals and targets. Unfortunately there is no typical
cost, although the range for block booking is between £50 to £500
dependent on your location, time for training and their experience
and client list. If you spend £500 a year on gym fees and use the
facility once or twice, with no results as a consequence, personal
training as a comparison can prove inexpensive.
Although prices range across the country, and will be influenced by
the length of each session, skills required, gym fees which may be
payable, travel costs and any other number of contributing factors.
Most Personal Trainers will set a rate which is affordable and
effective according to the situation each client is in. You will be
guaranteed results, progress and development.
3.
When Do I Need A Personal Trainer?
When you are overweight, when you are
underweight, when you are unfit, when you want to get fitter, when
you have just had a baby, when you are in training, when you are
bored with training, when the kids have left home, when the Jeans
don't fit, when you are too busy to keep fit, when you are going
skiing, when Christmas has happened, when Summer is about to happen,
when aerobics has got boring, when you can't avoid the mirror, when
you always avoid the scales, when you want to!
4.
Will my Trainer Put Me On A Diet? Stop Me Smoking/Make Me Stop
Drinking?
Most Personal Trainers are fully
aware that in order to change an unhealthy lifestyle you have to
work within it. You will find that many Personal Trainers can give
you nutritional and lifestyle advice - whether you take it is up to
you. Your personal trainer may be with you only a few hours a week,
but the fitter you become, the better you will treat your body as a
natural consequence.
5.
What Sort of People Have A Personal Trainer?
Housewives, stockbrokers, rock stars,
company directors, nannies, coffee-shop managers, bankers, doctors,
dressmakers, accountants, firemen, receptionists, PR executives,
hoteliers, waiters, newsagents, DJs, journalists, producers,
secretaries, actors, sportsmen and women, electricians, anyone who
wants one!
6. How Can I
Easily Find A Personal Trainer?
By using the “search” facility on
this page you can easily access a list of the nearest personal
trainers in your area. Initial contact should be made by email or
phone to establish that they can meet your requirement.
Once you have decided on which
trainer you would prefer, always meet in a public place or in a Gym
reception where you can ask to see their credentials (qualification
certificates) and insurance documents. Any qualified trainer will
have no problem with this.
